My name is Samuel Douglass Karyah. I am the Youth Coordinator for the Liberian Innovation Foundation for Empowerment’s Youth Empowerment Program. (YEP) My job is to organize young people to engage into community development activities within my community, sensitise them on issues of gender disparity, equal opportunities, cultural diversity and health related issues. Through the YEP program many young people are now realizing their potentials and the enthusiasm of working together. I am also the 2008 activism award winner of the Federation of Liberian Youths for my vocal role in crafting the National youth Policy Documents that now enables youth representation in government and at major stake holders meetings.

This is me receiving the Mission Candidate award from a donor of the Center for Women and Children Empowerment (CEWCE), an organization that empowers women and children by giving them basic skills . This award came as a result of my involvement with children I organized  to perform monthly dramas relating to the rights of children.
