Biography

My name is Hamutal Blanc. I live in Israel.
I am a political and social activist, working for equality and coexistence in my region.
Over the last few years I took part in the "Seeds of Peace" programme for dialogue in conflict areas, and lived in a Jewish-Arab commune in the north of Israel for a year.
I was released from military service as a conscientious objector, and instead am working in National Service in a Refugee Aid Organization. The refugees, mainly from Africa, flee war and genocide in their home countries, and we try to meet their social and psychological needs, and to advocate for them vis-a-vis the Israeli government and Israeli society.
I enjoy reading, hiking and travelling, music, and going to the beach. But what I love most of all is meeting and getting to know new people and new cultures. |
