| Biography | My name is James Hutt and I am a writer and activist from Halifax, Canada. I work with at-risk youth on means of self expression to promote non-violence. My major focus is on engaging youth and giving them the skills, tools and awareness they need to become active and involved in working for change. I am passionate about sustainability and the environment and strive to figure out how to wake the social conscience in everyone. I have lived in Spain, Nicaragua, and briefly in Lebanon. In 2009 I participated as an election observer in El Salvador and am currently working to start my own organization of environmental activists involved with election monitoring. I love creative writing, film photography, rugby, languages and learning about different religions. |
