"Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world"
Pierre Paul Audate is a 4th year student from Haiti at EARTH University in Costa Rica pursuing a Bachelor degree in Agricultural Science and Natural Resources Management. Pierre has participated in many social projects, recently he has written a project for rural community primary schools, called Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Education to mitigate Climate Change. Also, Pierre has leaded a project from 2004-2006 in a rural community in Haiti, the project was a rural cooperative where a group of young people with a NGO organized cultural activities to fund small farmers. As intern student Pierre has implemented a waste management plan in a research education center of University of Florida. For 2011, As an Oxfam International Young Partner Pierre expects to execute a big reforestation project "1 Million Trees For Haiti". The project has two components: 1) Planting 1.000.000 trees in all 10 departments in Haiti. 2) Organize a green fair to motivate and invite companies and businessmen to take actions in the order to mitigate climate change and also introduce the benefits that the fact being “Carbon neutral” (CO2 free emission) could bring in a small country as Haiti.
Soy ciudadano Haitiano, mi nombre es Pierre Paul Audate y soy estudiante de 4to año en Agronomía y Manejo de Recursos Naturales en la Universidad EARTH de Costa Rica. Soy un joven comprometido para un futuro mejor en el mundo, he participado en varios encuentros internacionales como Congreso mundial de jóvenes, Clinton Global Initiative; donde siempre he presentado proyectos sociales para mejorar las condiciones de vida de las comunidades. Me he involucrado en proyecto de manejo de desechos, Agricultura sostenible y cooperativa agrícola. Soy un joven motivador, me gusta trabajar en equipo y siempre mis trabajos tienen como finalidad ayudar a los demás, tengo un concepto de que la pobreza existe por las condiciones y instituciones que el ser humano cree, pienso que nadie fue creado para ser pobre pero, el sistema económico mundial hace que las personas sean pobres y si nosotros damos la oportunidad a los que menos recursos tienen, lograremos a erradicar la pobreza. |
