I am Thobani, I am a 21 year-old multi-talented young man who was born and bred in the rural area of Peddie on the 19th September. I was raised by a single mother and a step father, with four sisters and two brothers whom one has recently passed away. I studied my lower grade (grade 1 to grade 5) in rural area at Peddie then my metric (grade 6 to grade 12) in East London in 2008. In 2002 I started my dance moves and in 2003 I did my first performance in my school concert and from then I became a role model for young people and adults. Since then there was no way back and the passion for my community began to develop. Then in 2005 I joined Peer Educators at CATCH Projects. Since then I was so keen in the workshop that talked about community development that I attended many more workshops and my last one was a Lifeline Course which is about personal growth and counselling.
I love people and to meet new people. I am strong emotionally, spiritually and physically although you might not see that. I love to socialize and am positive about life and myself. I can express my feelings poetically, musically, and through dance. |
