Hi everyone!
I’m heading off to Bangkok (Thailand) on the 16-22 July (tomorrow!) for the UNFPA AsiaPacific Regional Consultation on Sexuality Education and Gender. There’ll be in attendance policy makers, implementors, and other relevant stakeholders regarding the issues from all over the region as well as other leading experts globally! I’m extra excited coz the emphasis this year is on improving accessibility, and availability, and the effectiveness of sexuality education for and to both in and out of school young people – particularly girls!! A 5member female team (inclusive of 2youths – myself and another) will be representing PNG; we’re presenting on Wednesday 23rd July on our country’s situation, response, and recommendations. My prayer is that the event isn’t just for show; that real tangible solutions arise, and IMPLEMENTED!

Hey guys!
Remember I mentioned the paper I’m working on? Well, it’ll be presented at our National Parliament House on May 16th at the National Women’s Symposium organised by the Ministry of Community Development, with the theme ”Kastom (Custom), the PNG Women, and Modernity.” Focusing on Youth Perceptions of Sexuality in regards to the education system, media, and traditional beliefs and practices, and being the ony youths invited to present, we hope the paper does what we intend. I’ll put a copy on here once I’m done. Thanks and hope all’s well with you’s:)

Hi guys! I hope u are all well in your endeavours. I’m writing to ask for your help please…
I’m working on a research paper that could potentially play a role in understanding and eventually changing the sexual and reproductive health issues particularly among young people in Papua New Guinea (PNG). As a preliminary/background/supporting data, I’m after reasearch materials (books, articles, studies, etc) that focus on the perceptions/attitudes of young people towards sex, relationships, etc, in co-relation to SRH issues, and the effectiveness of sex education (both in formal cirriculum and informal settings). If you have done/have come across such studies/information, I’d really appreciate your help – the TITLE or reference would be awesome.
